Reunion Itinerary/Activities
All costs for group activities are included in registration fee.
The Garden Inn Hotel is the host hotel for this year's reunion. The hotel is is located in the Olive Branch Business District so there are several stores and restaurants near the hotel to suit your needs.
If you choose not to stay at the host hotel, you will be responsible for your own transportation throughout the reunion.
Also, there will be a van provided to transport arrivals from the train station, bus terminal and the Memphis International Airport to the host hotel only. The van will be available for reunion activities only. (van schedule is TBA)
If you want to see the Memphis city night life, feel free to rent a vehicle at your leisure.
For your safety, please remain in contact with at least one of our Memphis committee members on your outings.

DAY 02
Saturday, 8/30
C. H. NASH MUSEUM CHOCTAW VILLAGE CHUCALISSA PARK - SELF TOUR/ 10:30AM - 12:00PM
This is one of the oldest Choctaw sites which dates back to the 1400s. The village is a reconstructed Mississippian-era Native American village and archaeological site, now used for educational purposes, offering tours, gift shopping, exhibits, and research opportunities

The first state park open for African Americans east of the Mississippi River showcases unique natural habitat while offering a wide range of outdoor recreational assets – including an Interpretive Nature and Education Center, hiking trails, playgrounds, an Olympic-size pool and splash pad, ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and terrific gathering spaces.
